Overview

The best way to share your Borderly records is through the app's built-in collaboration features. These give the people who need your data — your attorney, your accountant, a tax authority — secure, real-time access to exactly what they need. Unlike sending files back and forth, built-in sharing means:

  • Always up to date — Your attorney always sees your latest records, not a stale export.
  • Complete audit trail — Every access is logged so you know exactly who viewed what.
  • You stay in control — You choose what to share, with whom, and for how long. You can revoke access at any time.
  • No files to manage — Nothing to email, upload, or keep track of.

Ways to Share

Borderly offers two main ways to share your records:

  • Share with a tax professional — Grant your attorney or CPA direct access to your data through Borderly. They sign in to their own account and see your records in their professional portal. You control what they can see and what they can do. Learn more.
  • Create a verification token — Generate a secure, time-limited link that lets anyone verify your records without needing a Borderly account. Perfect for auditors, tax authorities, or anyone who needs to independently confirm your data. Learn more.
Sharing and verification tokens require Protect or higher. Protect allows up to 3 shares and 3 verification tokens. Certify and above allow unlimited.

Which Method Should I Use?

Use professional sharing when your attorney or accountant needs ongoing access to your records — to review your history, generate reports, or manage your evidence.

Use verification tokens when someone needs to perform a one-time verification — for example, a tax authority reviewing your residency claim, or an auditor checking your records.
