Learn the difference between Viewer, Reporter, and Admin access when sharing your data.

Two Access Levels

When you share access to your data — whether with a professional or via a verification token — you choose one of two access levels:

Reporter

Everything a Viewer can do, plus: view evidence, generate reports, download evidence files, generate data exports, and create verification tokens on your behalf. This is the most common level for tax professionals.

Admin

Everything a Reporter can do, plus: upload evidence, delete and restore evidence, and view your plans. Use this level only for professionals who actively manage your records.

Admin access gives significant control. Only grant it to professionals you fully trust.
