What platforms is Borderly available on?
Automatic location tracking requires the Borderly iOS app (iPhone). The web dashboard at borderly.day gives you full access to your records, evidence, goals, reports, sharing, and account settings from any browser.
Is there a free tier?
There is no free tier. All new accounts start with a 60-day Certify trial with full audit-grade features. After the trial, choose a paid plan or your account becomes read-only.
Can I switch tiers at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Is there a free trial?
All new accounts start with a 60-day Protect trial. You can cancel anytime during the trial and you won't be charged.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards via Stripe. Apple Pay is also supported when subscribing through the iOS app.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your data is always retained while you're subscribed. If you downgrade, you lose access to features above your new tier (e.g., RFC 3161 timestamps require Certify, blockchain anchoring requires Command), but that data continues to be recorded server-side. If you cancel entirely, your account enters read-only mode for a limited time, giving you a chance to re-subscribe. After that, your data will be permanently deleted.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a full refund within 7 days of any charge. After that, you can cancel at any time and retain access until the end of your billing period.
How does attorney and firm access work?
On the Protect tier and above, you can grant scoped access to individual tax professionals or entire firms. They can view your records and generate reports on your behalf. You control what they can see, and every access is logged.
What are verification tokens?
Verification tokens let you share a read-only link with an auditor or tax authority so they can independently verify your presence records and cryptographic chain of custody — without needing a Borderly account.
Is my data secure?
Every presence record is hashed into a tamper-evident chain. On the Certify tier, records are independently timestamped by DigiCert for court-grade verification. On Command, records are additionally anchored to the Polygon blockchain. Evidence files are encrypted at rest. All traffic is encrypted in transit, and you can review a full access log of who viewed your data.
