What Is the Audit Trail?
The audit trail is a comprehensive, traceable log of access to your data. Whenever someone views your records — whether it is you, a tax professional you have shared with, or an auditor using a verification token — the access is recorded.
What Is Logged
- Who accessed the data (your attorney, a firm member, an auditor via token).
- When the access occurred (date and time).
- What was accessed (presence records, evidence, reports).
- How the access was made (direct login, delegated access, verification token).
Viewing the Audit Trail
Go to Audit Prep in the sidebar to review your audit trail. You can filter by date range, access type, and who accessed the data.
