Borderly Installing the iOS App
Download Borderly on your iPhone to enable automatic GPS-based day tracking in the background.
Overview
The Borderly iOS app is where automatic location tracking happens. Once installed, the app records which state, province, or country you are in each day — with no manual input required.
The web dashboard at borderly.day gives you full access to your records, reports, evidence, and settings from any browser.
How to Install
Follow these steps:
Open the App Store on your iPhone
Search for "Borderly" or "Borderly Day Tracker".
Tap Download
The app is free to download. It requires iOS 18 or later.
Open the app and sign in
Sign in with the same email or Apple ID you used to create your account. If you have not created an account yet, you can sign up directly in the app.
Allow location access
When prompted, select "Allow While Using App" first. Then, when prompted again, choose "Always Allow". This lets Borderly track your location in the background so you never miss a day.
What Happens After Installation
Once you grant location permission, Borderly begins recording your location automatically. You do not need to open the app every day. The app uses energy-efficient GPS monitoring that runs in the background.
Each day, the app determines which jurisdiction (state, province, or country) you are in and creates a presence record. These records appear on your calendar and dashboard.
Your data syncs securely to the cloud so you can view it on the web or on any device signed in to your account.
