What Is the Evidence Vault?

The evidence vault is where you store documents that support your presence records. Think of it as a secure filing cabinet for all the receipts, photos, and documents that prove you were in a specific place on a specific date.

Evidence can include things like hotel receipts, flight itineraries, credit card statements, utility bills, lease agreements, passport stamps, and photos.

Why Store Evidence?

If your residency is ever questioned — by a tax authority, auditor, or in a legal proceeding — having organized, timestamped evidence makes your case much stronger. Borderly stores your evidence securely and links it to your presence records so everything is connected.

Accessing Your Evidence

Go to Evidence in the sidebar. You will see a list of all your evidence items, with the most recent at the top. You can filter by type (photos, receipts, documents) or search by name.

Tap on any item to see its full details, including when it was captured, what type it is, and which presence record it is linked to (if any).

Storage Limits

Evidence upload limits depend on your tier: Protect allows 5 soft / 10 hard daily uploads, and Certify and above allow unlimited uploads. You can see how many items you have used in your evidence vault.
