Overview

When you add evidence, you choose a type that describes what the document is. This helps you (and your attorney, if you share access) quickly find and organize evidence. Here are the types Borderly supports:

Evidence Types

  • Photo — Any photograph that shows your location, such as a photo of yourself at a local landmark.
  • Receipt — A purchase receipt from a store, restaurant, or service in the jurisdiction.
  • Document — Any general document that supports your presence.
  • Flight Itinerary — A boarding pass or flight confirmation showing your travel.
  • Hotel Confirmation — A booking confirmation from a hotel or rental property.
  • Credit Card Statement — A statement showing purchases made in the jurisdiction.
  • Utility Bill — A bill for electricity, water, gas, or internet at your address.
  • Lease Agreement — A rental or lease agreement for a property in the jurisdiction.
  • Passport Stamp — A photo of a passport entry or exit stamp.
  • Bank Statement — A statement from a bank account associated with the jurisdiction.
  • Phone Call Record — A record of a verified phone call confirming your location (Certify tier).
  • Calendar Event — A calendar entry showing an event you attended in the jurisdiction.

You do not need to have every type of evidence. Focus on collecting what is natural and convenient — even a few receipts and photos can significantly strengthen your records.
